¡Lotería Grill! - LAX Edition

With all the hassles I have had recently with airport security, I decided to get to LAX nice and early.  Of course, since I arrived so early, I got through security without a hitch, no positive bomb material tests, no extra thorough pat downs.  Now I just had a couple hours to kill before my flight departed.  I headed to Terminal 5 and briefly looked at going to Rock and Brew but they were packed and after the weekend I had, I was not feeling super social.  Plus I had lost my voice so I didn't want to have to try to speak to anyone.  I found ¡Lotería Grill! nestled back past the farmer's market signs and there was hardly anyone sitting.  I ordered a margarita and started catching up with the messages from the weekend.  The bartender, Guillermo, was seriously one of the nicest bartenders I have ever met in my life. When the nachos came out, they looked super yummy, smothered in melty cheese and green salsa.  I noticed immediately they were baked which is my favorite way for nachos to be prepared.  The chips were thin, salty, crispy but became soggy after a short period.  I had to use a fork to eat them because the chips couldn't hold up the toppings without falling all over me, but they were super tasty.  The chicken had zesty flavor and the combination of jack cheese and tomatillo salsa was super rad.  I slowly ate away at the nachos during the consumption of a few margaritas.  They were not layered too well with a empty chip nacho graveyard under the bubbly cheese level.  I ended up meeting a nice guy named Will who sat next to me for a while.  He lives in the PNW and will hopefully be emailing me about a place up there famous for their Korean/kimchee nachos.  Another bonus of this bar is every seat has a plug under the bar-top so you can charge your shit before you board your flight.  At one point a kid who had to be about 8 years old comes and sits on the right of me with his apple and chocolate milk.  I was not a fan of this.  Control your kids lady, the bar is no place for a child, especially next to a tequila drinking Shananigans. Once the bartender noticed him, he asked him to leave, but I had suffered through the incident already.
Nachos: Fresh corn toritilla chips, black beans, pico de gallo, jack cheese, tomatillo salsa, onion and cilantro $10.50.  Add Chicken or shredded beef $4/$6

Shananigans (4) - PRESENTATION:  Lots of melty cheese and love that they are baked.  RAD: Tomatillo salsa, well-seasoned chicken, fresh cilantro.  LAME: Chips got soggy quickly, empty chips under ooey gooey top layer.  Airport nachos are better than nachos on Oahu (#islandproblems).  TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 3, they could have been layered better.  Needed a fork to eat them.
