3rd Annual Feliz Nachodad!

Feliz Nachodad!  Feliz Nachodad! Feliz Nachodad! Queso con chorizo nom nom nom....!

Feliz Nachodad is by far one of my favorite holiday events.  This year we celebrated this festive gathering at the home of Tom B.  You never know what to expect at Feliz Nachodad because every year the ingredients change.  Each guest brings something different and then we make our own nachos and throw them on the BBQ.  A few of the tasty toppings provided were: pineapple, fresh jalapeno, pico de gallo, guacamole, chorizo queso, two kinds of beans, mushrooms, pork roast, seasoned ground beef, and more!  Tom T. made some super special balsamic-pulled pork mozzarella caprese nachos on homemade chips that were onolicious.  The BBQ space was super epic at Tom B's condo with convenient ice dispensers right next to our tables.  The one thing we always run low on at parties is ice.  Not at Tom B's house.  There was also a liquor store in the common area where we were.  We didn't even have to leave the floor to refill our beer and booze. Talk about "convenience store." When we woke up that day, I was a little worried about the party happening outside because the island was under a high wind advisory.  Lucky for us, the party area had 3 walls and a ceiling so we were perfectly sheltered.  Once all the toppings had arrived, the group broke up into teams and began assembling their delicioso nachos for the grill.  About 20 minutes on the grill and they are ready to be devoured.

Reasons why Feliz Nachodad is the best:
  1. Excuse to dress up which includes my favorite combo of wearing a santa hat with my sombrero
  2.  Ohana of friends who love nachos as much as me
  3. Getting to make your own nachos with all the ingredients that you love
  4. Mustaches, lots of mustaches
  5. Tequila
  6. BBQing nachos is the best way to cook nachos
  7. Making up your own lyrics to Feliz Nachodad
