North Shore Tacos

On a slightly overcast but still beautiful February morning, we got up way too early on a Saturday and drove to the North Shore to hike the pillboxes above Sunset Elementary. Afterward we headed to North Shore Tacos to try out their nachos.  Immediately I saw how similar their logo is to the nacho blog logo.  Both have mustachioed chip/taco dudes surfing in big hats.  Ha!  We all ordered some nachos and ate outside in the sun.  I was a little disappointed that the vegetarian nachos didn’t have any veggies on them, just beans and cheese.  At least they had beans though.  So many places don’t even have beans.  There was also an abundance of real cheese which always pleases the nacho friends, unless you are weird like Jackie and think there was too much cheese.  Jackie, this is not a real thing.  Nachos cannot have too much cheese.  

 

Shananigans (3.5) – PRESENTATION: I don't see a lot of toppings but I do see lots of real cheese. RAD: The surf sauce is yummy yum yum. LAME: Veggie nachos just means beans and cheese.  I would love to see a bunch of grilled veggies on here.  TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 3.5

Jackie (4) – PRESENTATION: 5 RAD: Cilantro cream LAME: Too much cheese. TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 4, overly cheesed.

 

 

Chick808 (4) – PRESENTATION: Looks cheesy and delicious. RAD: Cilantro sauce! LAME: Much unmelted cheese, cold be hotter (temperature). TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: Superb!  I really like the shrimp.  I would definitely try the other variety.

 

 

Nacho Nerd (4) – PRESENTATION: Appetizing and delicious cheese.  Was not well distributed. RAD: Pineapple salsa. LAME: Not enough ginger in ginger lemonade. TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 4

  

 

Nacho Beach (3.5) – PRESENTATION: Basic, yummy. RAD: Cilantro sauce, lotsa cheese! LAME: Could be layered better, need more guac. TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 3.75
