Blue Water Taco Grill - SEATTLE EDITION

After a crazy and amazing Alaskan cruise with 25 fabulous friends, I returned to Seattle to chill for a day or two before returning home to Hawaii. We went to the Folk Festival and got to check out the Hawaiian performers which I really enjoyed. But first we had lunch at Blue Water Taco Grill. I shared some nachos with the gang. They were super yummy and I loved that they were customizable with all the toppings you want. Smother those babies in fresh cilantro...nom nom nom! Tip for the staff, ask the customer if they want pico BEFORE you smother the nachos with it. I didn't make a fuss because I figured I could just eat around them but damn there were a lot of tomatoes leaving tomato juices all over my nachos.

Shananigans (4.25) PRESENTATION: Watching the dude layer the cheese and beans and cheese was cool. RAD: Cheese, hot sauce, my freedom of choice, so many options, pineapple is a nice touch. LAME: Asked me if I wanted pico as she smothered it in pico, the answer is no but now it is too late. BARF-O-RAMA. TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 4.5, all the chips have toppings and they really layered it. Would eat these all the time and make up different combos/ Outdoor patio is rad, sun or shade or whatever you want.                       

She asked me if I wanted pico AS SHE SMOTHERED my nachos in gross tomatoes...FAIL!

Marty (2.78) - PRESENTATION: If not the most important measure of nachos, serving size is the most concrete. This is a small portion, for sure. RAD: Even though Shannon didn't want tomatoes, they still put pico all over it. LAME: Even though Shannon didn't want tomatoes, they still put pico all over it. TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: Is higher better?  This is around 3:1 topping to chip. There were toppings without a chip underneath which I had to harvest with a fork. Nothing spicy here, kinda bland but nothing bad either. They forgot Shannon's taco, too.                       

I am trying to smile but the day before I took a major fall on some shiny cement and my knee was f'ed up. Trying to push though and make the best of my time with my friends.

Kelly asked me if she was too pink, LOL, as if that is a thing.
