Huge Pile of Nachos -- Pork, beef or chicken, refried beans, cheddar & jack, guacamole, sour cream and pico de gallo -- $10.95
We ordered it with the chicken on the side for the vegetarians at the table. Soon enough a huge pile of nachos was delivered to our table.
Only one problem...the meat was not on the side. :( We were starving so the vegetarians tried to let it slide by saying they could just pick around the meat. This lasted about 5 minutes. Nacho meat is just not something you can pick around. So we had to complain to our waitress who let us know it was her fault that she forgot to ask for it on the side. Since it was Taco Tuesday, the place was packed and it took forever for our replacement nachos to come out.
Once they did, they were lacking the spicy pineapple salsa and red salsa that came with the initial order. We also did not have any napkins. Nachos need napkins. The service started to deteriorate, but we didn't let it get us down. We ate the nachos and drank our margaritas. Even crappy nachos are still nachos and we were amongst superb company!
The ingredients were fresh: homemade quacamole, pico de gallo, real cheese, etc. Julia gave it a thumbs up on the cheese, 2 thumbs up on the pico, but it could use some more beans and cheese, to which we all agreed. We all especially loved the fresh jalapenos instead of the norm of the pickled ones. The chicken was flavorful and had a little bit of a kick. Pretty good nachos...the service could have been better...but it was Taco Tuesday so we will give her the benefit of the doubt.

Tim was so excited about the nacho blog when I told him about it that he wanted to practice before nacho night so we went to cha cha cha's and this is what he wrote:
ReplyDeleteNick Nock (4) - Awesome and large RAD: The size LAME: I pulled out a chip with nothing on it. I threw it on the floor. T:C Ratio=4, more toppings to chips though. A good nacho time.
