Since a gang of us was on the North Shore and a little hungry, we stopped off to do a nacho blog at Cholo's. We got sat right away, but that's where the good stopped and the bad began. Our waiter was the slowest waiter in all the land. After waiting forever, he finally came over and took just our drink order. Which was shots of patron, a bunch of margaritas and some waters. We were all dying of thirst. The shots came out first, which was rough since we didn't even have our waters to chase the shots with. It was at least 20-30 minutes before we got to put our lunch order in. Cholo's does have 5 different kinds of nachos on their menu, we went with the Veggie nachos since the vegetarians outnumbered the carnivores at the table.
Chance (2.5) - Nachos
are nachos, never had nachos I hated or that rocked my world.
Veggie Nachos - $10.25 - Cheese, beans, onions, olives, tomatoes and jalapenos. |
Kate (2.5) - RAD: Onions. LAME: Lack of guac. T:C Ratio=3,
needs more chips.
Cheree (3) – Nachos soggy
underneath. RAD: Amount of cheese. LAME:
Soggy chips. T:C Ratio=5, more toppings than chips in a good way.
Jessie (1) – The only
thing good was the cheese. You can’t go
wrong with cheese. Shitty service.
Tedday – Waka Flaka
Flame.
Eric (n/a) – Cheese is
so thick you gotta come back a 2nd time with another chip. RAD: Cheese
is the glue that makes nachos come together. LAME: Had to order sour cream and
guacamole separately. T:C Ratio=n/a.
Shannon (3) – Very cheesey
stringy. RAD: Lots of cheese. LAME: Sour cream and guac not standard. T:C
Ratio=4.5.
Basically, the service was some of the worst we had ever had. The nachos were ok. There were definitely not enough chips. We used some of the shell of Eric's Taco Salad to make up for the lack of chips. The tequila was delicious...as always. :)
