MAINLAND EDITION: Sassafras in Carson City, Nevada

We worked up quite the appetite stocking up on Trader Joe's goodies so we decided to partake in another order of nachos.  This time at the super delicious restaurant of Sassafras. My good friend Mr. Romo met us for a beer and happily joined us in the nacho review.  A few nights later, again at Sassafras, my boyfriend's son wanted to rate the nachos too, so I included his review as well.  As Devon, Jeff, Adam and I shared one plate of nachos, Nathan managed to eat the entire thing alone.  Be warned, although tasty, the sweet potato habanero sauce is dangerously hot.  I wanted to pour it on everything.

Rebelle Madhatter (5, even the last chip was crunchy) - Nice and colorful with a gorgeous amount of sour cream. RAD: It came with four salasas, the homemade chips with the cheese nicely melted with some crispy cheese. LAME: Not a big variety of toppings, except for fajita style peppers and onions. T:C Ratio=4.  Great music and we had our favorite server, Holly!

Romosapien (4.8) - A fiesta formed into a pile of chips and placed in front of my face! RAD: They're nachos! LAME: No layers. T:C Ratio=4.  Aftermath last bite full of cheese and a chip!

Shananigans (4.5) - Colorful, topped with grilled veggies, chili salt on chips RAD: 4 options of homemade salsa. LAME: No beans! T:C Ratio=4, gotta eat the toppings with a fork when you run out of chips.  Oahu nacho connoisseurs should be jealous…these are epic nachos.  Excellent service, classic rock and the most amazing friends in all the land to share nachos with.

Jeff (4.25) - Like sour cream floating in a sea of chips. RAD: Habanero sauce very good. LAME: Poor layering. T:C Ratio=3.8.  Great atmosphere.

Nathan (5) - Looks good! RAD: The orange sauce was good when you don't taste the fire.  The sour cream was quality.  The chips are seasoned.  Great sauteed veggies, good cheese mix. LAME: Not enough sour cream. T:C Ratio=4.  Very calm atmosphere, well lit, good acoustics, good songs.  Medium speed service.
