MAINLAND EDITION: Nachos at Adele's in Carson City, Nevada

On my recent trip back to my hometown of Carson City, Nevada I bopped into one of my favorite restaurants, Adele's.  We were there strictly with the mission of having a martini before we headed to Trader Joe's to do some shopping for my ohana on the islands.  Chatting with the bartender, we soon found out there were nachos on the lunch menu.  Devon and Jeff jumped at the chance to be guest bloggers for a mainland edition of the Nachos In Paradise awesomeness.  And they were seriously some of the most amazing nachos.  Ever.  Not that I have ever eaten anything bad at Adele's, these were nom nom nom nom nom.  And almost too pretty to eat.  Paired with a lovely dusty gin martini, I was a very happy girl.

Shananigans (4.75) - Fucking beautiful, olives, bell pepper, guacamole, sour cream, tomatoes, onion, corn, beans, red peppers, provolone, muenster, monteray jack. RAD: Chips are homemade and perfect crunchy flavor. LAME: Lack of heat, but perfectly edible and delicious without. T:C Ratio=5, perfectly layered, cheese on bottom chips, toppings eclectically spread.  The real cheese was so gooey when you picked up a chip, there were olive dangles hanging from them.  Charlie makes the most delicious food ever.  Stoked to have come in for an afternoon martini and found nachos on the menu.

at $9.50 these gourmet nachos are a steal!

Jeff (4.5, needs some heat) - Amazing, ratio of chips to topping appears to be perfect. RAD: Fresh chips, everything is fresh, Munster cheese makes these! LAME: Olives :(  No heat T:C Ratio=5.

Rebelle Madhatter (5!) - Beautiful stacking with lots of color with the toppings. RAD: Fresh read and green peppers!  I love them! LAME: No heat/spice at all. T:C Ratio=5!  The toppings were layered among all the chips.  The homemade chips really made these awesome and the lack of juicy elements kept the chips crispy to the last one.  Nice soft jazz in the background, not too loud, not too quiet.  Bartender was awesome and very friendly.  Service was excellent.

The aftermath photo is always my favorite.
