Miss Piggy's Nachos: Tortilla chips smothered in cheddar cheese, topped with kalua BBQ pork and sour cream for $9.95
Lucy and Ricky Chili-Cheese Nachos: Tortilla chips smothered in meat and bean chili, topped with cheddar cheese, sour cream, jalapenos and salsa for $8.95
The place was way bigger than any had expected from all the times we walked by and saw it. There is all kinds of memorabilia and fun stuff hanging on the walls. There is also a gift shop that you can even purchase old vinyl records. There was not a big enough table for our party ready, so the host let us sit at a couple tall tables so we could have some beers while we waited. Once seated, we ordered a couple orders of each and dug in. The kalua pork nachos were a huge hit. Almost everyone loved the BBQ sauce. The TVs played song clips from all the shows of your childhood. The TV behind us on the wall looked all old school and was really cool, especially when we saw they made it look that way by painting some cardboard and using aluminum foil. Crafty.
After dinner, a few of us walked around the corner to say hi to our favorite tiny bar, Wang Chungs. Cory makes a Jameson mojito that is seriously one of the most delicious drinks in all the land!

Tango Tango: (4.6 Tango Tango <3 Rock Island Cafe) Medium, small pink coral colored dishes - these look like loaded nachos! Tried both kalua pork (new fav!) and chili (also very, very good). RAD : Diner atmosphere and super friendly host. LAME : If there is only one fault, maybe the limited beer selection and that happy hour was not on. Topping to Chip Ratio : 4, perfect. Both, but by the end it was mostly chips because of my lack of self-control. The milkshakes looked good too. I cannot believe this place is not packed! It should be! $5 for beer, should totally pre-game.
Captain Cupcake: (4) Chicken bbq nacho looked good. Pulled pork had a lot of toppings. RAD : Pulled pork bbq was awesome. MILKSHAKES! Old school family feel, Elvis impersonator from Vegas came and had dinner. LAME : BBQ chicken was all right, bbq sauce was a little funny, might be the mayo, I do not like mayo. Topping to Chip Ratio : 3.5 - chicken bbq; 5 - pulled pork; 4 - chili cheese. The place looked awesome! Love the old school look. The music and shows on TV. reminded me of growing up with the fam. Milkshakes were very good. Vanilla…mmmmm.
Zulma: (3) Not bad. They looked pretty decent. The chips looked darker than normal. RAD : The BBQ flavor was epic. It was a great combo with the cheese. LAME : The toppings ran out fast, left you with the ugly looking nachos. Topping to Chip Ratio : 3. Great atmosphere, bad parking, one server did not even talk to me when she brought my milkshake.
Shananigans: (2.5-Chili; 4-Kalua pork) Very friendly staff. Super cute restaurant with all the rock n roll memorabilia around. The bowls were small in circumference but were piled pretty well. RAD : Fresh cheese, the kalua pork was tasty. BBQ sauce reminded me of my favorite nachos ever back in Georgetown that were made with brisket and smothered in bbq sauce. BBQ sauce should be on nachos more! LAME : The kalua pork nachos would have been better with jalapenos or something spicy. The chili nachos got too soggy, needed a fork. Topping to Chip Ratio : 3, too many wet toppings, no forks given so we had to get intimately messy. Kim was super nice and kept checking on our table. One of the waitresses walked by and offered to take a group photo without us even asking. Happy hour only till 6pm. Limited bar selection. Super bad ass old school barber chair in the corner.
Chris: (4.7, would come back for the miss piggy) So-So. Looked like nachos, which is a good thing. RAD : Huge jalapenos! The kalua pork nachos were saucetastic! I think the bbq sauce should be added to the chili nachos. LAME : Menu said no pictures. Need forks for the "soggy bottom"/"diaper bottom" nachos. Nachos in the crotch. :( Topping to Chip Ratio : 5 for both. Toppings to the bottom of the pile. Bottomings. Great! Auntie took our picture from both sides.
Nacho Libra: (4.5-Kalua pork; 3-Chili) Seems like a small plate, but it's a bowl and really loaded. RAD : Real cheese, toppings throughout, BBQ was tangy and addicting. I loved the BBQ pork, jalapenos easy to pick off. LAME : Jarred salsa. Chili made the chips soggy. Topping to Chip Ratio : 5, so much toppings! Crazy fun décor, it's like eating nachos in an antique store. I would have never discovered this place if it were not for nacho night.
Nacho Nancy: (Super Fun) Toppings heavy not good balanced RAD : Kalua pig rocks. BBQ sauce sweet with flavor. LAME : The Lucy and Ricky. Topping to Chip Ratio : It's all forked up! Touristy. Where's Kermit?
Righty: (4, I like it here but no Captain Morgan.) Righty doesn't usually care for kalua pork…but tonight… Fun and cute little spot. NO photos though, oh wait. Group photo with a food runner, taken by staff. RAD : Kalua pork nachos! Maybe it's the BBQ sauce. I do not know. But Yay! LAME : My arm hurts. Topping to Chip Ratio : Pretty decent on the chili cheese. Probably the same story with the pork. But we got them second hand at this end of the table. Coming back for a peanut butter bacon burger. Who's down?
Cowabunga: (2, the plate is small and what is on it does not really satisfy me…that's what she said) Over the top tourist place. The cardboard TV is cool. Organized chaos. RAD : The subbed chicken for pork and were really nice about it. LAME : The mayo bbq sauce reminds me of those shows where they show liposuction treatments. Topping to Chip Ratio : 3, toppings are extra moist due to the mayo and not enough chips. Service was good. Super nice.
