Wang Chungs - Best Nacho Night Ever!

Wang Chungs not only served us some seriously delicious Uncle Juan Tachos ($10) made on  house made wonton chips with house roasted kalua pig, creamy cheesy nacho sauce, mango pico de gallo, and fresh sliced jalapenos BUT ALSO made special dessert nachos just for our group when they came in for the best nacho night ever.  The turn out was strong and so were the drinks.  Some of us came for an hour...some might have stayed till closing but I am not naming names.  Thank you Danny and all the staff at Wang Chungs for such a fun night and for going above and beyond in everything you do.  

Wendy (4.5) – PRESENTATION: Lovely presentation, just gorgeous!  Was that the stae of Texas on top?  RAD: The homemade cheese sauce rocked my mouth.  LAME: Nope.  TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: Good!  Got free bonus dessert nachos and the servers are angels.

Isabelle (5) – PRESENTATION: TEXSAS!!!! (in nacho form) + mango pico de gallo and wontons = YES!  RAD: Free dessert nachos!!! What??? They're sprinkled with cinnamon sugar.  LAME: Cheese got cold quick.  TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: Ratio is spot on.  Just right on the spiciness for me.  Service was quick and so sweet.  Atmosphere is awesome.  KARAOKE!

Guacamole Haole (5) – PRESENTATION: Texas Christmas Tree Star  RAD: The nacho flash mob only possible at Wang Chungs.  LAME: Attractive men who are not straight.  TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 5.  Best nachos ever!  Dessert Nachos were like churros and I love churros.

Shananigans (4.75) – PRESENTATION: So pretty!  Can see how fresh everything is.  Is that chip shaped like Texas?  RAD: The homemade cheese sauce is delightful.  Fresh jalapenos give it a great kick.  Love me some wonton chips.  LAME: I am too full to eat them all.  TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 4.  The dessert nachos were especially tasty.  What a nice treat to compliment the savory nachos.

Danielle (10!!) – PRESENTATION: PERFECT.  RAD: EVERYTHING!  Best nachos of all nacho nights.  Mango pico de gallo is AMAZING.  LAME: Nothing, except no guac.  TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 5!!!  Love Wang Chungs, will be back!

Dooley (5) – PRESENTATION: Heaven  RAD: Creamy cheese.  LAME: N/A.  TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: Awesomeness.   NEVER STOP SERVING THESE.

Tricky (4) – PRESENTATION: Texas chip is the bomb (I am from Texas).  RAD: TEXAS STATE CHIP.  LAME: Liquid cheese.  TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 5 to 2.  Great, great!

Tom T. (4.5, LOVE) – PRESENTATION: Is that Texas atop a mountain of deliciousness?  Yes!  Liquid cheese but the wontons are beautiful.    RAD: It's Wang-Freakin-Chungs!  Perfect pork tenderness.  Special Dessert Nachos.  LAME: Limited crispy shelf life of wontons with the liquid cheese.  Consumed too many dark and stormys.  TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 4, could be more evenly distributed.  High quality peppers taste garden fresh.  Superlative flavor, service, and company.   What else can you ask for?

Blythe and Nicole (4.5) – PRESENTATION: Very pretty!  Bonus points for the state of Texas wonton on top and fresh jalapenos on top.  RAD: Fresh jalapenos and tomatoes.  LAME: No gluten free option.  TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 4.  Delightful atmosphere and service.  Also delicious bonus dessert tachos with fresh whipped cream and fruits.

Miss Stupendous (4) – PRESENTATION: Love the Texas chip on top of each stack of chips.  RAD: The dessert nachos complimentary with each order to the wonton chip.  LAME: The cherry tomatoes.  TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 4 our of 5, only a few stragglers at the bottom.  What a radical group of people as in stupendous not extremest. 

Nano (4.8) – PRESENTATION: Love the tower of nachos presentation.  Cheese, pulled pork were the best toppings.  Love the fresh jalapenos.  RAD: Wonton chips are totally rad!!!  LAME: Only lame thing here might be that my stomach wasn't big enough for the two orders.  TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: Perfect ratio of topping.  Bartenders are so nice.  Dessert nachos were amazing.

Tony (4) – PRESENTATION: Looks amazing at first glance.  What made the presentation for me was the chip that looks like the State of Texas.  The mixed cheese with the different color chiles made it very appetizing.  RAD: Love the flaky, airy chips.  They were amazing with the meat and fruit.  It was the perfect blend of sweet, sour, and spicy.  LAME: Not enough meat.  I would have liked a little more so that the meat was consistent with the amount of nachos.  TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 4.  The fruit on the dessert nachos was cut up in a pico salsa fashion.  Overall amazing and wishing it would never end.  Reason for the 4 is there should always be room to improve.  I love nachos.  Love you Shannon.

Logan (4.73) – PRESENTATION: TEXAS!!!  RAD: Don't mess with it!  And they are scrumptious!  And dessert nachos!  LAME: The potential to eat Texas.  TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 3, but the nature of the chips make this okay.  Best!

Roberto (4, pretty sweet) – PRESENTATION: Wow!  They're beautiful!  RAD: Texas chip on top.  Jalapenos yum.  LAME: Wonton chips don't contribute much.  TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 5, nearly perfect.  Wang Chungs?  Come on, son.
