Mariachi's - Kauai Edition

After a long, amazing day exploring Kauai together...we were starving and decided to stop in Kapaa for some nachos and muy imporatante: MARGARITAS.  At Mariachi's they have the "make me happy" margarita which is a house margarita but with fresh lime instead of mixes.  We ordered a few pitchers and some food to share.  The nachos were not the greatest in all the land, but the company was.  The queso was strange.  I am used to gooey queso you can dip your chips in.  This queso was so stretchy you had to break it apart for your chips.  Still tasty because it is a bowl of melted cheese but not user friendly. 

Shananigans (3) - PRESENTATION: they look sub par.  RAD: I love these make me happy margaritas.  LAME: not enough spice and lack of topping. TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 3.  I probably would not come back here for the nachos.

Tom (3.9) - PRESENTATION: heaping plate, beautiful topping, however was worried about unsustainable topping to chip ratio.  RAD: motherfucking make you happy margaritas. LAME: not really spicy, desire more spicy. TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 3, avg 3, weavers to 2. I want flora to stay at my house.

Jason (3) - PRESENTATION: oh wow nachos! Meh! RAD: sour cream was delicious. LAME: them chips were dry as hell.  TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 2, kinda where they fucked up. Service good, atmosphere is 3/5. 

Dave brown, journalist (3) - PRESENTATION: Nice, big beefy plate. RAD: cheese and chorizo had consistency and nachos not soggy, perfect. LAME: lack of jalapeño. TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 4, pretty good. Wonderful, great vibe, love the music.

JON (3) - PRESENTATION:good amount and distribution of toppings.  RAD:amount, enough to share amongst a lot of people. LAME: brittle. TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 3.5.  Authentic.
