Nacho Bar at KMCWC

Denise: There's nacho bar for lunch today.

Me: Say what?  Should we get some?!?

Denise: Want to?

Shannon: Yes, let's.

Moments later we shut up the office and headed down to the cafeteria.  Did I hear her correctly?  Did she say NACHO BAR? What kind of magical cafeteria is this that offers a nacho bar?  We arrived to the bustling cafeteria and made our way to the pay by the pound section.  And there it was, a self-serve nacho bar.  Marvelous!  We can make our nachos exactly the way we like them.  The ingredients were not fabulous, very generic, and not much better quality than 7-11 provides, but that did not matter.  It was our lunch hour and we got to eat a nacho bar.  I grabbed a bowl and filled it with chips.  The cheese was liquid queso, you know the kind that probably doesn't have any real cheese in it.  Additional topping choices were salsa, ground beef, sour cream, guacamole, and olives. Denise warned me to be careful with weight because they can get expensive and she was right!  For the bowl I made, they came up to almost $11. There was nothing fabulous about the flavor but I loved having as many olives as my heart desired.  The queso was bland and made the chips soggy right away so I had to use a fork to eat them. These nachos would not win any contests but what a treat to eat nachos for lunch at work with my fun office friend.

Shananigans (2.5) - PRESENTATION: All the stuff I love, none of the stuff I don't. I don't have high expectations of the flavors, looks like super basic cafeteria ingredients.  RAD: Olives, olives, olives, made exactly how I love them.  LAME: Paid by the pound so they cost me $10.12 for 7-11/stadium quality nachos.  No jalapenos or other option to spice them up.  Chips got soggy really quickly. TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 4, I put too many toppings and not enough chips.
