We arrived in Denver the evening of Halloween. Sadly
our team costumes never arrived in time to pick up from Papa Leddy's house in
Reno. It was a Monday so most of the Halloween parties had happened over
the weekend anyway. We freshened up at our hotel rooms and met our
Colorado boys Kai and Nick for some drinks at a swanky bar with a wall covered
in Jesus art including customer renditions of the Last Supper with the
owners. Many of you nacho friends know Kai and Nick from their stays at the Chateau. Kai also painted me that epic Uni-honu hat. This was my first time hanging out with both of them at the same time. We tried to barhop but the town
was pretty dead. We made
leaf angels and ventured from place to place trying to find something
happening. Then we decided we were
hungry so we popped into Illegal Pete’s, just before closing time. I decided to get nachos and do a spontaneous
nacho blog. I don’t really remember much
about them and can barely read my notes.
Apparently there was a lot of tequila involved that night. I made friends with the couple at the bar and
we all did more shots. The bartender
played us Beastie Boys and we were happy drunkenly eating Mexican food. Across the street we found a bar that had a photo booth. Exhausted from our first week of epic train adventures, we called it a night. Tequila.

Shananigans (Too drunk to score) –
PRESENTATION: Gave me a kids size, added extra love. Cuica is the most helpful person ever, even
the annoying drunks couldn't bother her. RAD: What I want toppings exactly the way I like. Bartender and the bar top customers super
rad. Colorado tortilla place. LAME: Chips are thin, get soggy. TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 5, perfect because you make your own. Colorado style = green chili. The bartender Miguel played some Beastie Boys
for me and we all did shots of tequila.
