I met Jen during my first year working at the hospital. She was on a different floor than me so we did not interact much. Then one day I was invited to a pau hana with some of the office ladies to celebrate one of them getting married soon. I hardly knew anyone. After a couple drinks, the majority of the ladies started to head home. Jen and I were like, you want to go have another drink somewhere else? Our BFF status was born at this moment. We went to Bubba's where her then boyfriend was tending bar and discovered that we had too much in common. Soon after we were DVRing Phillies games and then going to her house after work to watch them like they were live wearing jerseys and drinking beers. When she got married, I was honored to be one of the handful of friends who were at the ceremony. Soon after they decided to move to the mainland to be closer to Jen's family and start on a family of her own. I miss her so much. Philadelphia is damn far from Hawaii so I made a point of stopping there for a couple days during the train trip. We spent the day together while Yama was working and then all met up for dinner at the restaurant she works for, Iron Hill. The restaurant and brewery boasts 3 awesome selections of nachos and it was hard for me to pick just one for us to blog about. Spending the time with her and Grace was very precious to me, and far too short. Love you lady! Go Phillies!

| Nachos al Pastor - $13.95: chipotle bbq glazed pork, pickled red onion,
golden pineapple, pickled jalapenos, mexican crema, monteray jack,
cheddar, queso fresco, cilantro, and guacamole |
Shananigans (4) - PRESENTATION: Wow! So pretty! Looks crispy baked with lots of cheese. Are those pickled onions? Cannot wait to dive into these! Pineapple on nachos is one of my favorite toppings! RAD: Pineapple is amazing, adds the perfect sweet pop. They use slices of cheese instead of shredded cheese. I can't believe I am sitting here eating nachos with Jen and her baby Grace and Yama is on the way. LAME: Poor layering with empty chips underneath that have no toppings. TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 4, could be just a little better. Grace is so cute. The al pastor with the pineapple is amazing combo for nachos. I want to try the other ones on the menu!

| I spy poor layering! Those poor naked chips must be so lonely. |
Jen (4) - PRESENTATION: cheesy, colorful, toppings spread out evenly all over. RAD: Lots of different flavors in each bite. LAME: pork not spread out evenly. TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 4.
