Kokua Festival with Jack Johnson, G. Love, Paula Fuga, and more!

We splurged and got tickets down in front for the Kokua Festival featuring Jack Johnson, G.Love, Jake Shimabukuro, Paula Fuga and more.  It was super rad to be so close to the stage listening to so many artists we love. And proceeds all went to a good cause, The Kokua Foundation (https://www.kokuahawaiifoundation.org/)   Kate left to find a restroom and returned with not just vino but NACHOS!  Granted they were not the best nachos, but what do you expect from a concert venue? The chips were your basic tortilla chips.  The cheese was neon orange (for which Kate has a secret love).  The jalapenos were pickled. These were your basic nachos and contained only the ingredients from which the original nachos were invented.  Simple and nostalgic. I loved that they were separated in their own little compartments so you could make the perfect nacho bite.  Extra cool was that they were served in a paper dish, not the usual plastic that will take generations to decompose in the landfill. It was a wonderful surprise and loving way to celebrate our magical night together.  We first saw Jack Johnson and Paula Fuga not long after we because friends back in 2012.  There is no one in this world I would have rather been at the show with than my sister Katia.  We danced all night and soaked in the beautiful music while the almost full moon rose above the outdoor stage with Diamond Head in the background.  We made friends with the people sitting around us and had the time of our life!

Mahalo for the beautiful music Jack Johnson and friends!  Thank you for all you do for the community here in Hawaii and for making the world a better place through the Kokua Foundation.  We love you!
