Nacho Daddy - Las Vegas, NV

Team EPIC did Vegas and for our first night in town we just had to hit up Nacho Daddy.  We stayed at Main Street Station which was a quick walk to one of their 3 locations in the Vegas.  Some fabulous friends I grew up with in Carson that now live in Vegas also joined us for the nacho fun.  Some of you might recognize them from past nacho adventures as this was James' 3rd appearance and Erika's second.  Our waiter was super busy but when he finally had a minute to chat with us, we told him about the blog and he said we sounded familiar. I asked him how long he had been working at Nacho Daddy and we figured out that he was indeed the server we had a couple years back when me, Autumn, Heidi, and her mom came in for nachos. Nacho small world!

With so many fabulous choices on their menu, it was hard to pick just one.  What would you choose?

James and I decided on something with a kick to it, nice and spicy. The nachos came out sizzling on skillets which we all found quite rad. Everyone picked something different so we were able to sample multiple varieties and they were each unique and tasty.  The white queso is heavenly. I recommend getting an extra side of it so you can smother your nachos in creamy deliciousness.

We had been traveling all day with zero sleep the night before so after eating, TEAM EPIC had very little spunk left in it.  The locals went home since they had to work in the morning and we tried to explore Fremont Street on the way home. It was a bit too intense for tired Shananigans.  Fremont Street at night is like New Orleans on crack.  Everything goes in Nevada.  You can walk around drinking, it just can't be in a can or a bottle so every casino around has drink stations for you to pour your booze into a plastic cup before hitting the street. When in Rome, right?  We went into the ABC store and grabbed a drink so we could fully experience Fremont Street. Scantily clad ladies danced in bikinis on top of bars while live bands played rock music on multiple stages.  People were dressed up in strange outfits, some only consisting of nipple pasties and a thong.  I guess you give them $1 to take a picture with them?  There was one guy walking around in huge boots, assless chaps, and horns on his head (see picture below).  We watched a guy pour a drink with some talented flair and it had to have almost a bottle of booze in it.  Hangover city! Vegas is intense and you have to be ready for it.  We made it to the end of the street and I was done for and ready to hit the bed to rest for our day of adventuring ahead.

Nacho Shirt (5) – PRESENTATION: Man it’s a big skillet of nachos! Looks like a lot of nachos, glad I’m sharing.  RAD: Filet Mignon... yeah in my Nachos! Very flavorful and so tasty.  LAME: There were so much toppings they were falling off the plate and making a mess all over the table. Bigger chunks of filet would have been nice too.  TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 5, the toppings were loaded on every chip all the way to the last chip. I was able to scrape up the last bites of toppings with the final chip and left our plate clean. They had a large variety of nachos. All of them that we sampled were really tasty. It would have been hard to pick a bad one. Having that many types of nachos that all came being really tasty was impressive.  Staff was great. Everyone loved the nacho shirts. It had a really fun vibe. It was shocking to see how fast the time flew by as we were hanging enjoying our nachos.

Auge (4) – PRESENTATION: Everything looks fresh and appetizing. Better stop looking at it before it gets cold! RAD: Fresh toppings. LAME: Chips next to toppings did not maintain crispiness. TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 4.5, There was leftover nacho meat after the chips were gone. Great tasting nachos. Selection/nacho variety on menu is top-notch. Sure could've ordered those $2.95 chips & salsa on the side to balance the massive topping-to-chip ratio. I tried to "trust the system" though... Fun atmosphere, great music selection (READ: fun classic rock), friendly staff.

Shananigans (4) – PRESENTATION: Love the smoldering sizzling pile on a cast iron skillet. RAD: That f&$%ing queso!  What do they put in it to make it so magically delicious?  So many people I love from different parts and places of my life are here together eating nachos. LAME: We need nachos like this in Hawaii.  TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 4.5, lots of toppings and lots of chips. Could always use more queso. Same waiter as years ago and he was just as fabulous.  The manager was stoked we were there and took a group photo of us outside.

Erika (4.5) – PRESENTATION: Looks awesome!!! RAD: Loved that they used Frank’s Red Hot! My fave 😜 LAME: That I had to leave 👎🏾 TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 4.5, There were a few stragglers that didn’t get hot sauce love. I feel a 5 would just blow me away. Fun times! Great company! Awesome food and drinks!!

SO much NorNev love.
