Genius Lounge

After a long day of fun with Dusty's childhood BFF, including brewery hopping and checking out street art in Kakaako PLUS a sunset booze cruise (see pics below), we stopped off at Genius Lounge for some dinner. They had nachos so we had to try them. Boys from Wisconsin love nachos. Everything was extra delicious that night.  Could it have been all the beers and the booze cruise?  Possibly.  We thought the nachos were some of the best ever and especially loved the bright orange cheese sauce even though it was a bright orange cheese sauce. This is usually frowned upon, but not this cheese sauce.  It had great flavor when it was combined with the kalua pork and those wonton chips.  I would definitely try them again, drunk or sober. Nom nom nom nom nom.

Kalua Pork Nachos...I have no idea how much they were...I blame the booze cruise

OVERALL: 4.25 - PRESENTATION: Looks like a big pile of salsa. SOMETHING RAD: the wonton chips are super tasty, the nacho cheese sauce looks like ghetto processed cheese sauce but doesn't feel or taste like a ghetto processed cheese sauce, the kalua pork is made IN HOUSE. SOMETHING LAME: chips get soggy fast, too much salsa, avocado would be super awesome.  TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 4.25, needs more chips, too many wet toppings. "I've had a lot of shitty nachos but these are good."  Wontons are yummy, pork is yummy, liquid cheese is better than 7-11.

The remainder of these photos are from our most epic day!!!

We started out with breakfast with not just two, but three Wisconsin boys!

First stop, Honolulu Beer Works. The boys couldn't decide what beers to put in a flight so they just got one of each

Fun street art in Kakaako

I found a unicorn

Next stop, The Village.  I had a delicious pineapple cider.

Let's Cruise...

Next stop, Waikiki Brewing Company where we got to sit at a table that was an old school video game of  Mrs. Pac Man and some astroids game.

Free popcorn and my favorite drink, dark cherry mojito

I'm pretty sure these boys played a lot of corn hole in college. They dominated me and Brando.

Homies

We were so lucky to have such nice weather when it's been so crappy for the last few months.

Sunset and sailboats. Happy Shananigans
