Hotel Mercurio - PUERTO VALLARTA EDITION

When Brandy and I planned our Puerto Vallarta vacation, we planned on just the two of us. To our surprise and overwhelming delight, 3 of my favorite Hawaii friends showed up just a day after us AND their hotel was just two blocks from ours. Life can be pretty magical sometimes. We had the most amazing week together exploring the cobblestone streets, drinking pina coladas on the beach with our toes in the sand, dancing until the wee hours of the morning, watching drag shows, and spending quality time together just chilling. It was one of the best weeks of my life!

Hotel Mercurio is a super cute and fun hotel in the gayborhood. It serves yummy breakfast and lunch and has a cute little pool in the courtyard. It was a great meeting place for breakfast and afternoon drinks before heading out on the town. The staff are super friendly and muy guapo. Willie might have been a little jelly of how much the boys flirted with us.

The nachos were covered in a very generous portion of queso. Then there was a buttload of fresh tomatoes under the queso, barf. These were no frills just business nachos. Fresh chips, jalapeƱos, cute waiter, velvety cheese sauce, and well-flavored chicken. Black beans and guac would be a nice touch and maybe some extra chips. There were definitely more toppings than chips. These earned a solid 4 from the group and we would totally eat these again.

On our last night we caught a beautiful sunset on the beach and walked the entire Malecon along with the thousands of locals on vacation for Semana Santa. We also drank A LOT of tequila gimlets. There was live music playing at the main square and families having fun everywhere. We tried our hardest to live it up but living it up all week had finally caught up with us. We ended the night early and retreated to our comfy hotel beds.

No idea what these cost because the boys just charged them to the room

Love finding ALOHA when we travel.

Pina colada, yes please.

Cheers friends!

Proof that not every photo is perfect, and that's okay!

BFFs!

They might have thrown Brandy into the pool with her clothes on.

Reina's bar is too fun. We might have been asked to leave.

Hola Guapo!

Rooftop pool at our hotel and our new lifelong BFFs!

Last sunset in Puerto Vallarta did not disappoint.
