Yelapa Lunch - PUERTO VALLARTA EDITION

Since it was our first time in Puerto Vallarta, we opted for some of the tours at our hotel. One of them was a day tour to Yelapa. We hopped on a boat and cruised the ocean for about an hour until we arrived to Yelapa. Once off the boat, we hiked through the village to a cute little waterfall. Yelapa is the place you want to visit when you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There are cute little places to rent and a handful of restaurants but that is it. I wouldn't mind spending a few days there and enjoying the beach. After the waterfall, we continued through the village and came down onto the beach. There were several restaurants available and we welcomed the shade. They had nachos on the menu, so you know the drill...

Nachos in Mexico so far seem to be simple with just beans and cheese.  Not that there is anything wrong with that. The original nacho invention was just chips, cheese, and jalapenos. These were the perfect snack to tide us over until the lunch provided to us on the boat. Fresh made chips, melty cheese, and beans. Nom nom nom nom nom. There was also a plethora of hot sauce to spice them up. I loved that the restaurant was right on the beach and you got to put your feet in the sand.
