I asked my dear friend Curtis Chung (Chef from El Chino Loco) what I could bring him back from Puerto Vallarta and he showed me a pic of his favorite bottle of tequila. I went to several stores trying to find it, but I was out of luck. So instead I bought 5 other bottles I thought he might like. When I got home, we scheduled a night to make tacos and taste all the yummy tequilas. The timing was perfect because my Aunty Janine was in town. She got to meet my favorite friends AND eat Chef Curtis Chung's delicious food.
He even surprised me by making trashcan nachos. Not just nachos, trashcan nachos where you pull the can up and layers and layers of meat, cheese, and chips are unveiled. Curtis always outdoes himself. The food was phenomenal and the tequila was so good. I especially loved the extra anejo. It was so smooth.
NOTE TO SELF: Do not try to drink ALL 5 bottles in one night or you may pass out on the lanai and vomit everywhere.
