Serg's in Manoa - February 2, 2013
written by eric and teddy.
Ok so if your reading this that a little weird, because it’s NACHO BLOG!!!!!
Nachos at Serg’s in Manoa. It’s Saturday afternoon, the sun is in
your face and the Latin beats are pumping through your veins. If
you’re eating Nachos at a sports bar or a van down by the river, I’m
just going to assume you’ve made a few mistakes in your quest for the
Holy Grail of finger food. You eat to the beat.. make love to the
meat. It’s slow cooked in a giant vat behind the store next to the
mountain. 100% organic grass fed cows roam the pasture on the other
side, they don’t know their impending doom and are completely relaxed,
giving them an extremely juicy and tender quality. And it’s not just
the sweet beef from Cows temporarily living the good life. The pigs are
treated like royalty and share a bedroom with the owners daughter at
the south shore ranch in Waimanalo. Carnitas is a term of endearment
for these fat sows. Carnitas and loved like one of the family right up
until the day they meet the axe.
The gratuitous salsa bar takes
itself a little too serious serving salsa in actual bar mixers. Then
again the salsa is top shelf. Try all five flavor to make your nachos
look and taste like Christmas. Maybe it’s the little helpers with the
fat Hawaiian cook in the background that add to this holiday miracle.
Whether you are jewish or muslim.. well maybe not muslim or jewish cause
it’s either got to be kosher or you can’t eat pig at all.. but all
people are welcomed with a warm salsa bath, slowly caressing your
shoulders, mixing into your pores. You are green, hungry and naked by
the time they arrive.
Chip to topping: 5/5
Cheese ratio: 4/5
Overall: 2 Chainz!
Eat up mother fuckers. And if you’re reading this fuck you it’s Nacho Blog!!!!
