Lulu's Mexican Grill inside Onstage

First off quick wishes of healing to our nacho buddy, Erik, who couldn't make it because he is in the hospital dealing with a knee problem.  We missed you dearly and hope for your speedy recovery!

As predicted, Lulu's Mexican Grill did not disappoint for the nacho connoisseurs.  Flavor explosions in the mouth all around.  Lulu's Mexican Grill is not to be confused with the Lulu's in Waikiki on Kalakaua and Kapahulu.  The Mexican Grill is located inside Onstage and she is only there for dinner.  By far some of THE best Mexican food on the island.  Everything is fresh and delicious.  Happy hour ends at 7pm, so go early if you want the specials.  And there are a couple of pool tables to keep you busy along with live music that usually starts about 7pm.

Steve (5) – Chips are hidden, which is rad, but kinda freaky.   RAD: Insane diversity in toppings, perfect chips and all the toppings blended so well together. LAME: I’m stressed out by a bunch of stupid shit.  Now that I have had these nachos, there is no need to try any more. T:C Ratio=4.5.   NACHO BONER + NACHOGASM, bar is a little dark.

One veggie (Berenjienas) and one with pollo

Kelly (4) – AWESOME!  Beautiful presentation and tons of toppings! RAD: Cilantro, corn, cactus, eggplant are awesome!. LAME: Some more spice would have been good. T:C Ratio=5 – PERFECT !.   Great Service, Lulu is awesome!

$12 - peppers, corn, cilantro, potatoes, onions, tomatoes, sour cream, guac, cactus, green beans, black beans, cactus

Cheree (5 for veggie, 3 for chicken) – Beautiful and delicious looking! RAD: Veggie is rad in itself.  Eggplant and cactus are so f*#%ing good!  Chicken is marinated in chipotle but it pales in comparison to the flavors of the veggie.  Fresh made chips are AMAZING!. LAME: Could use some more guacamole. T:C Ratio=5, you need a fork.   Live music is a great addition.  Happy hour is cheap - $5 pitchers.

J9 (4) – Colorful, fresh cilantro goodness, the vegetarian nachos have much more flavor. RAD: Eggplant and flavor explosion in your mouth!  Ono chicken too! LAME: Needs more cheese please! T:C Ratio=3, there could be more cheese but a good amount of other toppings.  Some of the best nachos on Oahu thus far!  Lulu is amazing, she brings your food out on a beautiful silver platter and sets you up for the ultimate enjoyment.

Shannon (4.75) – Gorgeous presentation with sour cream drizzled over a plethora of colors from the toppings and chips beneath. RAD: Chipotle eggplant, potatoes, peppers, cactus, fresh fried chips. LAME: Not very many beans on the nachos, but they are homemade. T:C Ratio=5, you need a fork to eat the nachos, every bite is covered in deliciousness.   The veggie ones have a ton more flavor with all the veggie toppings so I recommend you order the veggie ones and add some meat if you are a carnivore.  You will be stoked that you did.  Lulu has a heart of gold and makes each dish with love.

  MAHALO NACHO FRIENDS!
