Murphy's Bar - Irish Nachos

In the pursuit of all that is nachos, we will try anything with the name nacho in it. May not always be the traditional "nacho" people are used to, but who cares really?  So the gang set off to Murphy's Irish Bar in Chinatown to try the Irish Nachos.  Well first we met at Hanks for some pau hana drinks.  Cheap drinks poured + a heavy handed bartender = bad idea for Lopez and Shananigans when they were in a Jameson mood.  After several drinks, we met up with the rest of the group over at Murphys.  The Irish nachos were basically potato skins smothered in a white cheddar horseradish sauce and topped with corned beef.  They were pretty tasty, although not spicy at all.  The waitress was super nice and tolerated our obnoxious table (we had the Jameson'ed Lopez and all).  After dinner, we headed to Kings Korner to check out Mr. Donabed and his stand-up comedy.  We also discovered they have two different kinds of nachos on their menu.  Add it to the list!

Steve (3.5) - A lot of white, nice distribution of cheese. RAD: Potatoes are really well roasted. LAME: Rough for a vegetarian, needs some acidity and spice. T:C Ratio=4.  A delicious white ethnic treat. .

Traci (4.5, Best Irish Nachos I've ever had) - Covered in cheese!  Double plated because it's straight from the oven! RAD: Lots of horseradish flavor and the corned beef is awesome. LAME: Limited toppings, what else is Irish that we can pile on. T:C Ratio=5, all the potatoes had lots of cabbage, beef and cheese.  Laura, the server, was super cool.  Drinks were awesome.

Shannon (3.75) - Very pretty presentation. RAD: Corned beef and since we had a vegetarian in the group, we ordered his on the side so we get double beef. LAME: The horseradish had zero spice to it.  What's the point of that nasty tasting horseradish if it doesn't even give any heat. T:C Ratio=4, everything is covered.  The waitress was super rad.  The Lopez was mildly retardo…no more Jameson before nacho night dude.

Vegetarian style with the meat on the side.  Only $8.25

Donabed (4) - Was really cool, kinda reminds me of an Irish flag RAD: Corned beef!!!! & Horsey Radish. LAME: More chhese!  More Horsey Radish. T:C Ratio=4.  Murphys!  What's not to love?  Old timey Irish bar.

Adam (4) - Clean, appetizing, more volume would be nice. RAD: Corned beef, potatoes and horseradish/cheese mix. LAME: $10 parking. T:C Ratio=4.5.  Could be a little more caliente.

Don Frijoles (AKA Drunken Tardo) (     ) - Super cheesy, you say potatoe, I say potatoe RAD: Traci.  Horseradish is awesome. LAME: Everything. T:C Ratio=Good, ginger hostess is hot.
