Nacho Daddy - MAINLAND EDITION

I was meeting a high school friend for lunch in Vegas and she asked where I wanted to go.  I suggested nachos so we could do a nacho blog together when she told me about this restaurant called Nacho Daddy. Wait, it has Nacho in the name?  It has to be amazing!  I googled Nacho Daddy just to see what we were in store for and was instantly so excited to try it.  They have a whole page dedicated just to nachos, including breakfast nachos and super fancy nachos. And they have different house made chips made from jalapeno and spinach. Not to mention multiple types of house-made queso.  It was one of the hardest decisions EVER.  Working against us was the fact that none of us were really even that hungry, but we couldn't just order one to share.  We had to try as many as possible!  Autumn who is a connoisseur of loco mocos back in paradise, went back and forth but finally could not resist ordering the Moco Loco Nacho.  It came with eggs on top!  Heidi's mom stayed traditional with filet mignon carne asada.  Heidi chose some Italian style chicken Florentine nachos on spinach corn chips.  And I finally narrowed it down to some spicy Thai jalapeno corn chip nachos.  We ordered and we waited.  And then they brought them out.  Four huge piles of nachos that there was no way in the world we would be able to eat.  The nachos totally won the battle that day but we put in a valiant effort and enjoyed every second of it.  I hope to get to visit this magical nacho land again someday. If you live in the Vegas area...GO!

Thai Chicken Nacho $9.95 - Seasoned Thai spiced chicken breast with Asian vegetables, sweet chili sauce, pickled jalapenos, & white queso sauce on jalapeno corn chips topped with peanuts and toasted sesame seeds.

Shananigans (4) - Holy beautiful heaping pile of Thai smelling heaven on a plate.  RAD:  The sweet chili sauce is unlike anything I have ever tasted on nachos.  I want it on all of them.  The jalapeno chips are such an amazing touch that I never thought of before.  LAME:  I had to choose just one to eat.  I wanted to sample them all!!! Nom nom nom nom.  TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 3.5, the bottom chips did not have much topping.  The queso dip gets pretty wet with the chili sauce and makes some soup at the bottom.  It still tastes amazing, you just have to use a fork or a lot of napkins.  Our server Don was super rad and helpful.  My favorite was when Heidi asked for extra cheese and he said, "What kind?" because they have SOOOO many and then spent several minutes explaining the cheeses on the nachos we wanted to order.

Moco Loco Nachos $12.95 - Tri color tortilla chips topped with home made yellow queso, hamburger patty, traditional brown gravy & two eggs served sunny side up.
Grannysaurus (4) - Puts the crazy in loco moco.  Tastes like a loco moco with cheese.  RAD:  Eating a loco moco with my hands!  LAME:  Sneaky onions not in the description.  TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 4.5, well portioned.  Harder to eat cause you have to cut the egg.  Rice chips would be cool.  Hard to get everything in one bite on one chip.  The queso dip and egg yolk taste amazing together.  The loco moco strikes again!

Filet Mignon Carne Asada Nacho $16.95 - House made corn chips topped with Mexican cheese blend, refried beans, filet mignon, sour cream, pico de gallo, guacamole, cilantro & house made ranchero sauce
Mom (4) - I will never eat this whole thing!  RAD:  It's a lot of nachos.  LAME:  Chips get soggy too fast, too much salsa and not enough queso.  TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO:  3.5.

Florentine Nacho $11.95 - Grilled chicken breast, sun dried tomatoes, fried prosciutto strips & spinach, covered with Asiago, Romano & Parmesan cheese sauce on top of our house made spinach corn chips.
Heidi (4) - Sin City Decadence. RAD: Garlicy fantastical magical mess.  LAME:  Not enough cheese.  Queso would have been good, needs to be doused in queso.  TOPPING TO CHIP RATIO: 4, tastes like an Italian dinner.
