I come from the land of no teams and moved to an island
without pro sports. It took me 37 years to get to see a professional
game. I was beyond excited. The Phillies have always been my
favorite baseball team because of the person who I first got into watching
baseball games with was from Philly. I couldn't believe that not only was
I going to see a game, but I was going to see the Phillies. We took the
train to the stadium and got awesome seats that were in the front row of the
first upper section. We had an amazing view of the entire field and no
one in front of us. When the sun came out, it was perfect. When it
went behind a cloud, I was cold. I rocked my gloves for most of the day,
especially on the hand that held my frosty beverage. I was beyond bummed
that I left my Phillies Phanatic hat in Honolulu. It would have kept me so warm. There were
crazy kids running around eating ice cream even though it was so cold.
They had gloves on too. If it's cold enough to wear gloves, you won't
catch me eating ice cream. Kids are so crazy! It didn't matter if I was cold
though because I was having soooooo much fun watching the game and spending
time with the coolest guy in Philly. We both knew the nachos would be sub
par. It was more about the special moment than the quality of the nachos.
The chips came straight from a bag and the cheese sauce poured from a
machine. We managed to get them back to our seat with only a couple casualties
from the wind. The game was magical. There were some local dudes sitting right
behind us who gave me the authentic experience of being at a game in
Philly. The mascot came out and did a
little performance with his “mom” in honor of Mother’s Day. We walked around and checked out the history
of the team near the bull pen. The
Nationals Team was getting heckled so hard by guys standing around. Near the end of the game the Phillies were
down by 3 and then tied it up! It was so
exciting watching them get the bases loaded at the bottom of the 9th
and almost win the game then. But they
didn’t score and it went into extra innings.
We saw an old lady that was watching the game alone and very
passionately. She must have been like 80
years old and so adorable with her Phillies gloves. Concerned that she was alone and how she was getting home, my friend asked if he could walk her to the
train station and she looked at us like we were crazy because the game was not
over yet. She was just using the restroom. The Phillies got the Nationals down with three
quick outs. The excitement just kept
growing. And then we won! It was one of the best afternoons of my life.
PRESENTATION: Amazing!
Sleek and streamlined plastic container is very easy to handle. The cheese sauce is served in a separate container
which allows for the cheese sauce to maintain its hot temperature despite the
chilly air and keep the chips from being soggy.
RAD: The salsa cup which is salsa, sauce, and a dip all in one. Ketchup can’t do that shit. Ketchup can’t be salsa. LAME: Any breeze whatsoever and you lose your
chips. The stadium design creates wind
tunnels so you have to be careful not to let any fall to the ground. There is no wind guard on the sleek design of
the container. TOPPING TO CHIP
RATIO: As good as you can get by
allowing yourself the amount of cheese sauce and salsa you want on each
bite.

| Nachos, baseball, and this guy. Doesn't get much better! |
 |
| Looks like the machine used to serve chili too, but now that portion is cut out of the cover. |
 |
| Got to be careful and not let the wind knock the chips off. |
 |
| Salsa, sauce & dip. So versatile. |
 |
| Fun to see a little bit of Honolulu all the way in Philly and in the stadium. |
