SPLASH at Wet N' Wild

I had not spent the day at our island water park since I moved here over 8 years ago. When I saw the SPLASH event that was a fundraiser for Honolulu Pride, I new that was the day for me.  I was lucky to get a seat on the bus from Bacchus just a couple blocks away from my apartment and we were all pleasantly treated to some magical rainbow jello-shots. Seriously dude, how long did it take you to make all those glorious layers?

At the park, we had the big party area and there were so many of my friends running around having a fabulous time. There was even a DJ playing fun dance music. I wore my rainbow peacock petticoat but also brought my rainbow sequin dress. Both were a huge hit and I spent half the day letting people wear both items. We braved the line for the giant tube that sat four people and it took FOREVER burning our poor feetsies as we slowly inched toward the start of the line. It was so worth it though. I haven't laughed non-stop as hard as I did going down that slide with those boys in a long time.

After the epic ride down the slide, we had worked up an appetite. The line for food was so long we broke up into groups to go get some drinks from the bar while we waited for food. The line for the bar was even longer and they were running out of everything. They should have planned better knowing how many of us were coming and that this is a group that likes to DRINK! Back at the snack bar, I was surprised that they offered not just one, but two varieties of nachos. Lucky for me, my new nacho homie wanted to get one and I the other so we could try both! Only $9.99 for glorified 7-11 nachos smothered, extra smothered, in chili, nacho cheese, and jalapenos. The Kalua pork ones had an interesting and different flavor we weren't quite sure what it was. They were messy AF and we definitely needed to use forks.  Even with a group of us chowing down, we had a hard time finishing them all. They were exactly what we expected plus a little bit more for the plethora of cheese sauce soaking every chip. Would I buy them again? Probably not. Would I eat them again if someone put them in front of my face? Duh.

OMG the best jello-shots ever...so magical

Love these handsome fellas with their beautiful beard and mustaches

I spilled some on my leg,  but don't worry, no nachos were wasted.
