Coolabah Sports Cafe JAPAN EDITION - International Day of the Nacho!

On our first night out exploring Japan, we visited several bars, restaurants, etc. that were recommended by our friend Curtis in Hawaii. One of those places was Coolabah Sports Cafe, a fantastic pub owned by an Australian man named Andy. Even though we had just come from dinner, we saw nachos on the menu and wanted to see just what we would get ordering nachos at an Australian pub in Osaka. It was also International Day of the Nacho so we couldn't not eat nachos when we happened to stumble upon them. Americans eating nachos in an Australian pub in Japan is pretty international and the perfect way to celebrate this holiday. The owner had just come back from a trip and was showing the staff the updated menu the night we were in there. He made sure that are nachos were extra special. They were pretty basic, but we didn't expect much from a pub. The weirdest thing to me was the sour cream. It wasn't really sour cream, but it was the closest they had. I couldn't put my finger on what it tasted like. Was it slightly seasoned? It was yummy whatever it was. I especially loved how cute it was that they served it in a large bowl with the "sour cream" and guacamole in the center and separated by a tortilla chip. Super cute!

We ended up having the time of our life that night at Coolabah and made so many friends. We had so much fun, in fact, that we went back again our last night in Osaka and had even more fun, if that's even possible. If you are ever in Osaka, please stop by Coolabah and tell Andy Aloha from us.
