6th Annual Feliz Nachodad

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Feliz Nachodad is by far my favorite holiday event. This year we celebrated our 6th Annual! Each year, a different Nacho Friend takes turn hosting at his/her home. This year we were at The Collection in Kakaako. That party room was epic! It had a full kitchen so we could prep whatever we needed. Not to mention 2 huge fridges to store all our beer and booze.

The idea behind Feliz Nachodad is that each guest brings a different ingredient and then you partner up with someone to make the most epic nachos in all the land. After you have constructed your masterpiece, you throw the pan on the BBQ and bake the nacho goodness. Since the party room was only available early in the morning, we changed things up a bit this year and had BRUNCHOS. This opened up the variety of toppings to breakfast items like gravy, sausage, bacon, and eggs. Granny made a super epic chorizo gravy that I just wanted to put on top of everything. There was even fish and a plethora of yummy flavored sauces to sprinkle on top.

I made my nachos half breakfast, half regular. Those breakfast nachos were the bomb diggity, especially with that breakfast gravy that Nacho Libra brought. I think restaurants should make breakfast nachos a thing. After we ate, we got to enjoy the common area, pool, and hot tub. Sadly there was not a sequel to the epic dance performance of Feliz Nachodad that was performed last year. Maybe next time...
